What is the evidence his parents were Thomas Nunn of Jamestown Island of Jamestown with a long pedigree in Old England?

None of these profiles have sources.

Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087 - suggestions? I am concerned that Geni is misleading descendants. I’m looking for cut points.

Evidence needed to support Thomas Nunn of Jamestown Island as child of William Nunne and Joan Punchard

The Nunne family he had been tacked onto, by the miracle of the internet, is sourced as ancestors of immigrant to New England Sgt. Joseph Bixby

Erica Howton understood and agreed.
Can you post the Y DNA study?
I will dig in Monday ASAP. Have a dental appointment but will do what I can.
The furthest back I have confirmed is due to DAR as noted in my reply on another Nunn discussion (under Francis I think)

What Y DNA Study?

NB. If you descend from Francis, he’s top of that tree.

That Y DNA study doesn’t name the patriarch so don’t actually know who it refers to.

This older (dead?) Y DNA study may be more useful.

But John Nunn b1450 Suffolk >> John bc1655>Francis>Francis R1b1a1a2a1 had the ancestry disproven.

Thomas Nunn 1613(VA)-1659(VA) R1b1a1a2 is the man we show as son of Thomas of Jamestown, but so far, there’s only that he may have joined his Family in America as an adult after being raised in England. And that’s a weak argument, in my opinion.

starts at Thomas Nunn b 20 Nov 1690 Chesterfield, VA d c1735 Henry Co., VA m Elizabeth Whorton - William Henry Nunn
William Nunn b 1720 King & Queen Co., VA d 1777 King & Queen Co., VA m Jane Quarles
James Nunn b 1759 VA d 9 Jan 1786 VA m Lucy Clayton

I descend from the the sister of Asberry whose direct descendant tested.

Which Y haplo is this?

Erica Howton I think my line is correct now. It appears the Francis line is correct now as well?!

Just need family group/list of children and the different Y haplo types so is a continuing work in progress

Thank you so much!

So your descent is from Thomas Nunn, I & Elizabeth Nunn

Your next step would be to prove to parents as best you can, as well as the list of children.

I don’t know which Y haplogroup is which. It’s impossible to tell from the charts.

Will work on it :)
I added him back at Wikitree--- I had disconnected while we worked on him here a while back and today i was confident enough to reconnect my line
I have a few NUNN DNA matches but not certain of their side of the tree yet to guess which Y.
I am finding I have a lot of DNA matches coming up around this branch. I am at the part of my searching that I am mostly left with my brick walls to tend to
