Dinah Davis, Hebrew names as previously written on her profile: Trenla or Trenlah (two entries in London) was apparently never known as Merrindel - please state the source and why the name was changed and what the source of this name is?

Thank you.

As slready messaged, Her name appears on the seventh line and reads: “(married) woman Trenlah daughter of (?) Yakov”. The Hebrew letters Mem and Tet look vary similar, but one of the distinguishing features is the lower horizontal line. It is closed for a Tet and open for a Mem. As you can see in the photo, it is closed here and so is a Tet. The name is Trenlah, not Merindel.

The next line reads: “and wife of Isaac son of Moses, may his memory be for a blessing”, these last seven words (‘zikhrono livraha’ in Hebrew) being indicated by the two letters zayin (z) and lamed (l).
