Elizabeth (Goldwyn?) Combs - What sources can we find for this family?

I don’t expect instant answers, and perhaps none at all; her English origins so far to me seem speculative.

In 1654 he made a deposition before the Dutch authorities signing it with his mark " RH" and stating that he was "of Gloustershire, about 30 years old". In 1661 he bought a house and garden in Flushing, L.I., off William Hallet, but by 1668 he owned property on Mad Nans Neck, now Great Neck, Town of Hempstead, L.I.

He died around 1700. He must have married in Newport, R.I., but we only know as yet that his first wife's name was Elizabeth.... His second wife, whom he married in 1691 was Elizabeth (Redman) Mott, widow of Adam Mott (1620-1690).

Her maiden name was not "Richbell".

Most of his six children, and we know he had six children from a letter to the Dutch authorities written in 1662 concerning a dispute over the ownership of his farm with William Hallett, were probably born in Newport, R.I. Of these, John Hubbs (1647-1697) appears to have been the eldest, and he is the patentee of Hempstead mentioned above.

From that, I would rule out Hubbs / Hubbard as her father.
