Maria is listed as the daughter of D. Lope Díaz VII de Haro and Doña Juana Alfonso de Molina both of whom have birth dates recorded as 1245.

Geni has calculated Maria's birth date to be around 1090, which it would have to be to be the husband of Gonzalo Gómez de Manzanedo, II Señor de Manzanedo (b 1080) and mother of Gómez González de Manzanedo y de Alexir, III Señor de Manzanedo (b1110)

Clearly then the dates of her parents are inconsistent ith those of her husband and son and so something must be drastically wrong with the lineage.

Sorry I am not able to explain the above clearly in Spanish!

I agree with you 100% and this profile actually has her birthdate as 1270 and her husband,Gonzalo II Gómez de Manzanedo, Señor de Manzanedo, Señor de Manzanedo as 1070, so there is something horribly wrong with this profile and marriage.

As I look deeper it may be that there is some confusion and mix-up with all of the generations of Gonzalo Gómez de Manzanedo.
If I find more I will post it here.

Erica Howton - any idea who would be the best person to attempt to unravel this one?

Of course she’s in a time loop. I’ll look at revisions for bad merges.

In general -

One has to go down the tree the find the relevant “ancestor of interest” to find the best sources for quality pedigrees.

I also use google translate to make an English language tab for the Spanish source, so I can study that more. My year 1 Spanish for 20 years is not adequate, but it’s good enough for names, dates and locations. I suspect that’s the case for most of us.

My own path has her intersecting with Eleanor of England, Queen consort of Castile - that’s probably the. case for most of us also.

Here’s the English Wikipedia page.

So for no reason I can see she was added as wife of Gonzalo Gómez de Manzanedo, II Señor de Manzanedo I’m disconnecting her that husband & children, adjusting her name, and then looking for her real husband.

Fixed. She was her sister.

I’ve added English translations for Gómez González de Manzanedo y de Alexir, III Señor de Manzanedo & his father (?) (conflicting sources) Gonzalo Gómez de Manzanedo, II Señor de Manzanedo

As best I can tell, there’s no known wife for Gonzalo Gómez de Manzanedo, II Señor de Manzanedo not even a speculative or Family tree one. So I’d chalk this up to human error, and glad to see the humans continuing to check.

Thanks Erica Howton I've only just got back to this. I see you have sorted it all!
