I started this discussion because I would like to find out more about my family ancestry. Here are some sources that I would like to offer to the discussion.

I have not read this book. I am taken the liberality to share this profile from FamilySearch. I trust there records, considering they're pretty meticulous about there records.

here is some interesting record, at least I believe so:
Chief of the Pilgrims: or, The life and time of William Brewster,
Steele, Ashbel, b 1796.
the following are excerpts from the article;

I believe these records substantiate the probability of linage back to at least Sir John Brewster III
B:1325 Rushmere, Waveney District, Suffolk, England
D:1379 St Michael's Churchyard Rushmere, Waveney District, Suffolk, England

I find this interesting as the person who has done the research mentions his sources as Geni tree.
I have trees with Ancestry, FamilySearch and MyHeritage. Which I have traced to a one Edward Brewster the 1st born is 1239 died in 1279> firstly I am trying to verify these claimed facts and also I proven correct I am trying to trace as far back as I can go. Here are a few sources that are possible ancestors of Sir Elder William Brewster. which mentions Roger Breuestere, (Suffolk, 1221), and Emma le Breustere, (The Hundred Rolls of Berkshire, 1279). Not sure if they are, but would like to find out.

This one is about possible orgians for the family name etc..

So I am, trying to link my family to at least this time period, maybe beyond.
The earliest record of any variation of this surname is that of Richard Briweera which appears in the Hampshire tax rolls from 1192. These rolls, were a series of census and tax records kept by the English Treasury by order of King Richard I, with the oldest dating back to the 12th century.
Again would like to find out if this person is an ancestor of mine, if not where does he fit?

I will add more links later as I do more research. Thank you for participating in this discussion and all your help.
Tagging the geni profiles mentioned.
Elder William Brewster, "Mayflower" Passenger son of William Brewster, of Scrooby son of William Brewster, of Hatfield
And that’s where the record ends.
