Edward Warde was born say 1560, presumably in Essex, England, the son of Thomas Warde of Rivenhall in Essex. A birth record for him has not been found. Thomas married three times, so it is possible Edward is not the son of his first wife, [[Joan Warde Joan Warde] Joan], who died in 1566.
