William DALYSON - Something wrong here? Relationships or dates?

This William Dalyson, supposedly born in 1410, is married to a woman Nicola Dalyson whose grandmother Joan Vavasour was supposedly born in 1420. So Nicola is likely to have been born at least after 1460 meaning a 50 year plus age gap!

So this doesnt seem right - either this is the wrong William Dalyson (there are a few!) or the birth date is incorrect.

In turn, the great grand daughter of Nicola and William, Maud Morton was supposed to be born in 1482.

So if Nicola and her husband (William, but which one?) were born in 1460, it could just about work that this couple are the parents of Maud Morton - from her profile all we know about here is that she is the daughter of William Dalison of Lincolnshire (again, which one?). Seems almost certain that she is NOT the daughter of William Dalyson, of Scotney though.

William Dalyson was the son of William Dalyson and his wife, ___ Vavasor, the daughter of John Vavasor of Spaldington in Yorkshire. William the son was probably born c. 1440, based on age of his descendents.

William married an un-named daughter of Langton of Durham, presumbably through whom the Laughton estates came. With her he had:

  1. William Dalyson of Scotney, who married ___ Wastnes
  2. Roger, DD
  3. ___, who married ___ Morton of Bawtrey
  4. Anne, b. c1470, who married Humphrey FitzWilliam of Clayworth
  5. ___, who married ___ Boothe of Norton
  6. ___, who married ___ Hopkinson of Kirmington
