f they had a Son Anthony born c 1585 Arundel Castle, Sussex, it is possible the Mother Alice was visiting or had a connection through her Family.

May I ask how this William was linked back to the the other Hilliards mentioned?

his link seems to refer to William the carpenter.

Nothing definite on his family and no mention of father. The passenger list has no obvious family members coming over with him either.

Originally Robert Anderson in his sketch of William Hilliard, (https://www.americanancestors.org/databases/great-migration-immigra...) stated his belief that there were two William Hilliards in the colonies simultaneously in the mid 1600s. He later related his change of mind on this in the Great Migration Newsletter, V.1-25
