Samuel Kincaid, Sr. & Joseph Kincaid, of Albemarle County do not share the same father, according to Y DNA tests submitted by their respective descendants. Both are showing as sons of Alexander "The Pharmacist" Kincaid
This suggests a pedigree error for descendants to sort out.
The Dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to the U. S. A. By Donald Whyte, page 192, < GoogleBooks > lists 4 Jacobite sons of Alexander K., pharmacist:
George Kinkade
James Kincaid
Robert Kincaid
Samuel Kincaid, Sr.
Joseph Kincaid, of Albemarle County Is listed alone in group Group A-1b on the Y-DNA111 page of https://www.familytreedna.com/public/kincaid?iframe=yresults.
He is not mentioned in Scott’s book above or as Alexander’s son in profile notes.
I am disconnecting him as a son of Alexander. If anyone knows differently he can be reattached.
