This is my 10th great grandfather, so I can make any edits... but I need a little background on what is here now.

First, Given that this profile's parents are not proven (and it has not been proven that Edward of Rowley and William of Newbury were brothers) maybe it would be best to provide a link to the possible parents in the first part of the About Comments for each of those profiles and change the profile header to parent unknown, possible brother of XYZ, etc.

possible parents
Thomas Sawyer, of Lancaster
Agnes May Sawyer

Also, I notice that the list of children is completely different for the supposed 'mother' compared to her husband's. If they are the same boys, maybe the exact same name as the GENI profile and a hyperlink to the profile.

---John Sawyer (1583-1660)
PERHAPS his children were:

Edward Sawyer, of Rowley;
William Sawyer, of Newbury and
Thomas Sawyer, of Lancaster

---Agnes May (Sharpe) Sawyer
Children

Edward SAWYER b: 1608 in Of Lincolnshire, , England
William SAWYER b: 17 Nov 1614 in Leverton, Lincolnshire, England; died 1702, "of Newbury"; Married Ruth Bitfield.
Thomas SAWYER b: 1616 in Of Lincolnshire, , England c: 24 Mar 1630
Edmund Sawyer, b. 1619, Lincolnshire, England, d. date unknown

Thanks.
here are the other 2 supposed brothers,, which should have similar edits.
Edward Sawyer, of Rowley
William Sawyer, of Newbury

Mails sent, edits done.

Hi Managers,

In regards to the family of Thomas Sawyer, of Lancaster & Agnes May Sawyer

Family history is that 3 Sawyer brothers came to Mass from Lincolnshire on a ship commanded by Capt. Parker, but no records in England have as yet been found, and there is no evidence in any wills reviewed so far in Mass that would support that story. However, DNA has shown similarities between Thomas and William, so they could have been brothers. The fact that Edward and Thomas arrived in Rowley near the same time and lived near each other, and William lived in adjacent Newberry is why people accept the story as true (but it hasn't been proven).

So it’s only circumstantial evidence that Thomas Sawyer, of Lancaster, Edward Sawyer, of Rowley and William Sawyer, of Newbury were brothers.

Should be go forward and disconnect them from each other until better evidence can be found?

Correction:

Possible parents: John Sawyer & Agnes May Sawyer

Mother of the three brothers is also seen as:

Margery Sawyer

With a story:

As a widow she sailed from England to America seeking to escape religious persecution leaving family and friends behind. She had three sons, Thomas, Edward and William who had already sailed to America in 1636, just 16 years after the "Mayflower" had arrived at Plymouth Rock. She never remarried and passed away in 1677 at the ripe old age of 91. (wab)

I agree with disconnection of the three Sawyer 'brothers,' until verifiable evidence is found.
