Could someone please show me how the Royal Norwegian family, KIng HaakonV and Quen Maud, was related to the Vking Kings?

Do you know how to use the "Push Pin" to compare profiles?
Look for the green push pin icon in the upper right of the relationship path; click it so it looks pushed in.
Open a new tab & enter the profile you wish to compare -- the relationship between the two profiles will show.......don't forget to release the push pin or every profile will compare to the first one!

King Harald V is Halvdan's 30th great grandson

Thank you all for the kind help! So Haakon V would be related to Halvdan?

No, it is not provable that Haakon V is related to Halvdan "Den Milde" Eysteinsson due to the sources that are so old are written several hundred years after Halvdan lived and are therefore considered to be untrustworthy.

The furthest provable lines into the royal lines of the viking kings of Norway while using only persons living in Norway is Sverre I, King of Norway who was never a son of Sigurd.

If we use ancestry abroad (todays Germany) we can get back to Saint Olaf II, King of Norway via his daughter Princess of Norway Ulvhild Olavsdatter, Duchesse of Saxony and his parents.

It's not possible to get further back in time because of the lack of reliability in the sources. So it is not possible to have a reliable line back to Halvdan Eysteinsson, nor to Harald I "Fairhair", king of Norway

Remi Trygve Pedersen

Is this the line?

Ulvhild OLAVSDOTTER
→ Magnus BILLUNG, Duke of Saxony
her son → Elika (Billung) VON BALLENSTEDT, duchess of Saxony
his daughter → Albrecht I "The Bear", Margrave of Brandenburg
her son → Count Bernard of Anhalt, Duke of Saxony
his son → Albrecht I, Duke of Saxony-Wittenberg
his son → Jutta von Sachsen, Queen Consort of Denmark
his daughter → Queen Ingeborg Eriksdatter AF DANMARK
her daughter → Håkon V Magnusson, king of Norway
her son

D Bruno, that looks to be correct allthough it's a long time since I checked that out.

Kung Halvdan Øysteinsson den givmilde is my 28th great grandfather's wife's third great grandfather.

Harald I "Fairhair", king of Norway is my 28th great aunt's father.

Sverre I, King of Norway is my 19th great grandfather's ex-partner's great grandfather.

Ulvhild Olavsdotter is my 25th great grandmother.

Saint Olaf II, King of Norway is my 27th great grandfather.

Halfdan "the Mild", king of Romerike and Vestfold is my 33rd great grandfather.
Harald I "Fairhair", king of Norway is my 30th great grandfather.
Sverre I, King of Norway is my 22nd great grandfather.
Ulvhild Olavsdotter is my 24th great grandmother.
Saint Olaf II, King of Norway is my 25th great grandfather.

Joaquim and Ingrīda your relationships to Halvdan Eysteinsson and to Harald Fairhair is not provable as I have stated earlier in this discussion, so please stop mentioning your relationship to persons on Geni when you're not certain that it is correct and provable. Geni has a lot of wrongs and wishful thinking that is hard to remove, but even though Geni shows a relationship to a person living more than 1000 years ago, it isn't necessary correct.

Remi Trygve Pedersen true fact, all human beings are related, with or without records, swallow that Remi!

Was King Haakon VII related to the old Norse viking Kings?
Or his wife Maud?
Any reliable sources?
Some persons claims that he was a direct descendant of Harald Hårfagre…

Saint Olaf II, King of Norway is your 30th great grandfather. :) Is this true ?

34 th Great grandfather.

Private User yes, that is a fact, but at the same time it statement is very ungenealogical. Ulf, genealogy is about proving relationship between persons with records. Thought you knew that?

Private User yes, Haakon VII can also trace his ancestry back to Saint Olaf II, King of Norway via his daughter Ulvhild and the german line.

And Maud can do the same both through her father Edward and his great grandmother Charlotte von Mecklenburg-Strelitz and her mother Alexandra that was of the Danish royal house.

It's not hard to find reliable sources among the royals and the Herzogs von Sachsen.

No one can prove to be a direct descendant of Harald Hårfagre since the lines between Olav den Hellige (St. Olav) and Harald Hårfagre is impossible to prove with reliabel sources. That also goes for all the other lines between persons living around 1050 and back to Harald Hårfagre, none of them are provable.

Private User "Is this true?" That is for you to research. Find sources for every link between you and St. Olav. If your line goes through the Herzogs von Sachen it is possible, but you still need to do the research.

Roy Huijer No, Halvdan Eysteinsson can not be proven to be your 34th great grandfather, so your statement is wrong.

Peder Angel Lund Paulsen is my 21st cousin.
