Hello -
It is possibly to correct John's wives? His first wife, Margaret de Badlesmere is correct, but his 2nd wife is actually Elizabeth de Aspell widow of [?John] de Wauton, Knt, and daughter of Robert Aspell, Knt., by Alice, daughter of Hugh de Cressingham.
This is per Douglas Richardson, Royal Ancestry, Vol. V, p. 163.
