According to this link that is from one of the profiles in the line:

GWILYM FYCHAN (c. 1420 - 1483)
The son of the marriage of Gwilym ap Griffith and Joan Stanley,

The mother connected to this Gwilym Fychan is correct but the father is, as noted, Gwilym ap Griffith rather than Gwilym ap Gruffudd, of Penrhyn.

Griffith is the Englishing of Gruffudd. They are the same name.

You are very welcome.

What we don in the Welsh tree is use the Welsh, if that's what shows up in the Welsh Genealogies. Often the English version will be in the nicknames.

I have a LOT of Welsh ancestry, primarily on my mother's side that is Morgan from her all the way back to ancient Wales.

I appreciate that! And, no, it's not. I can't pronounce the names and different sites have specualation on various genealogies for the same person, etc. I love the heritage I have but working on that part of my tree can be very challenging! I'll definitely reach out in the future! :)
