Gov. Dudley’s descent categorized as Hap'group R1b1a - Family B. And there are no English Dudleys to compare with.

These need to upgrade to at least y-111 to confirm or eliminate Thomas....

Is this the Thomas mentioned out of that group?

Thomas Dudley, of St. Michaels Cornhill

Looks like it.

Great work on this Erica. Happy to see you found the Richardson comment. Looks like he's not buying the link. That comment coupled with him removing the line in his most recent publications speaks volumes.

Separately, I'm in awe of you and others' curators commitment to cleaning up lines across Geni. There are so, so many bad ones.

This MAY be the Alvin mentioned in Thomas's family group B...

Diane Collins, the McCollum part of your line and their connection to Janet Jane Campbell doesn't agree with what I'm seeing elsewhere. Also, Jane Campbell's parents are unknown. Wikitree says there are no sources for her.

DUNCAN CAMPBELL OF GLENCARRADALE
===Evidence from the National Records of Scotland===
26 August 1680: Bond of Presentation granted by Dugald Campbell, brother of Duncan Campbell of Glencarradale, in favour of John MacCallum in Gortenfaal. National Records of Scotland, Inveraray Sheriff Court, reference SC54/17/3/3/10

Diana, I'm not understanding what you are trying to say with that record. Can you elaborate?

So which Campbell should that be connected to?

I don't know because I'm having trouble understanding your point. To be clear, I'm not seeing any evidence to support :

his father → John Neil McCollum, Sr
his father → Lady Janet Jean Campbell
his mother → Duncan Campbell of Glencarradale

Is this saying Duncan Campbell is Janet Jean Campbell's father? The bond of presentation to John MacCallum was when Janet Jean was 54 years old? And she subsequently had children?

Or maybe I don't understand what you're saying.

Lady Janet ‘Jean’ McCollum

Disputed Origins

Blevin McCollum (1606 Craignish-1687 NJ)

Many sites state that instead of Zachary, the father of immigrant John McCollum is Blevin Mccollum (1606 Craignish-1687 NJ)

Most of these sites also have Janet Campbell as the wife (and mother of John McCollum -- the immigrant). No documentation of this fact has been included with any data provided for Blevin McCollum's parentage of John McCollum.

He matches this person...

Daniel McCullum

Hope you find where he belongs And merge him in. I put a link to a descendant study in Old John’s profile “about,” maybe he’s in it.
