Wonder where they get Guillaume from ?
From their child perhaps?

Sharon, it is Judith Gouye. I was in Rouen 2 years ago and visited the Archives Department there and found Guillaume Neel's baptism record on their system there. The baptism took place in the Protestant Temple in Quevilly, Rouen, on 25 December 1663. It shows his parents as being Pierre Neel and Judith Gouije. It was written in fancy writing in French, but the names could be made out. Unfortunately they were in the middle of some sort of industrial action while i was there and i had to leave in a hurry. I did manage to do a print of the screen i was viewing and i have it somewhere in my files. It isn't a good copy and someone who can speak French would need to translate it. I will look for it and post it on the profile when i find it. I hope this helps.

Apologies for being unable to response, I was at work. I called Gouye's wife Guillaume Néel as it was his name entered on Geni. I have not seen his name appear as Guillaume anywhere on any document I have found yet; sorry for the confusion and thank you for your fantastic research Weyers and Doubell!
