When I search for "Colonial Dames" in Geni two links are returned one for Stephen Hopkins -> Stephen Hopkins, "Mayflower" Passenger and the other for a more recent profile for Lawarnce Losee -> Lawrence Louwerans Laurens Lowrenz Lossy LOSEE [Colonial Dames] [Daughters of American Colonial Society], Captain, Dutchess County New York Colonial Militia

The Losee profile also refers to -> Daughters of American Colonial Society.

I'm thinking that the wives of the Mayflower passengers are at the top of the "Colonial Dames" list.
