On-LIne Reports
of Alice ADLAM Cogswell 1518-1603, wife of Robert Cogswell 1510-1581 and
that of Alice WILCOX Cogswell 1555-1616,wife of Edward Cogswell1554-1615
appear to have the same Will dated 1615, proved May 11, 1616
with the same list of children in each. SOMETHING NOT CORRECT HERE!

Robert(1) COGSWELL; was born in 1510 and baptized on Nov. 30 1510 in Westbury Leigh, England. He was a manufacturer of wollen cloth. "Tax records of 1545 show them [the five brothers] quite well established, especially Robert, who was the grandfather of John Cogswell, the immigrant to America in 1635."

He married Alice ADLAM, the daughter John ADLAM & Marjorie____ circa 1541.
