Different internet trees have the same children attributed to 2 different families.

Arrived on "Burhampoota" in 1841

Arrived on "George Fyfe" / "George Fife" in 1841

Children

This discussion is to ensure that we have the correct parents attached to these children.

Can anyone add any information on these families?

This is what I have, I do not have the George Fyfe family at all. Burhampoota Thomas was married 3 times and had a lot of kids. It's possible I have a couple wrong

Do you have a copy of the Burhampoota passenger list?

Thomas and Margaret travelled alone on the "George Fyfe".

I have Samuel John and both Thomas on the Burhampoota as well, not sure if i have a copy but this is the reference

Reel 2134 4/4788 p98 & p 308, Reel 1321 4/4863 - SRO NSW

I can't find a Thomas on the George Fyfe, do you have a reference ?

Much if the info I have on other Friend lines is secondary, so it needs to be checked

I have added sources to the timelines and I believe all the children are now with their correct parents

Hi Leanne

The Thomas Friend on the George Fyfe was from Dublin according to that link you posted

Need to get the register, but there is a Thomas and Margaret Friend on the Plymouth which arrived on 23 Jul 1841
