She does not belong to Major Thomas Jordan Disconnected. See his profile notes.

Erica Howton ok. Thank you for looing and for knowing the line.... so frustrating to tree build blindly and I appreciate you.

Use Geni search instead of copying so many profiles from unsourced FamilySearch trees, perhaps. :)

This is the Langford / Lankford tree top.

Edward Langford

Thomas Langford, Sr. Is said to have married an Elizabeth Jordan - and there seems to be a relationship with the Quaker Jordans - but so far she hasnt appeared in Quaker records. Which are pretty good and available on Ancestry. So thats where you want to look, if you want to change the Geni tree.

This is the guardian of the minor child Thomas Lankford

Col. Samuel Jordan

Unclear which Thomas. Anyway this Samuel had no sisters, so it appears that the guardianship could be for many other reasons than “uncle.”

Erica Howton "Use Geni search instead" is good advise but it implies the Geni recognizes duplicates but sadly it doesn't always. There have been discussions on making it better and hopefully this will happen sooner rather than later :)

Which is why I use search - not match. And I’m not looking for dups, i’m looking for a missing relationship. If they’re born before 1700, they’re on Geni. Best results with name of spouse, and we now have a “flexible Search” option.

“flexible Search” yes, and still I recognize a duplicate before the Geni does so hopefully that will be improved soon as well. In adding Elizabeth, I was surprised to see Jordan AGAIN! I was working on a cousin line and ended up adding another Thomas and went back and deleted several profiles. Ugh. lol

Thank you again, Erica! I appreciate all you do and all your suggestions. I know Geni is ever improving and growing.
