There is evidence that John Henderson, husband of Ann Givens, was the son of James and Martha Henderson and that James was the brother of Samuel Henderson. We know that Samuel was incorrectly assigned as son of Capt William Henderson of Fordell in many trees. This leads me to believe that Capt. William should be removed as father to Lt. James Henderson as well. If there is a living male Henderson in this line who can be tested, that would prove this one way or the other.
