ANU Museum of the Jewish People at Tel Aviv University is going to start inviting visitors to the museum to test out the new app that shows how people are connected to the famous Jews on display in the museum. Tuesdays 2-6pm. They could use some Geni-savvy volunteers on-site to help visitors get connected to the Geni World Family Tree, which is required for using the app. If you are available in Tel Aviv on some Tuesday afternoons, please contact Eynat Sharon.
The new app is at https://geni.anumuseum.org.il/ and should work on your phone, laptop or desktop computer.

fantastic! I just logged in and got 924 connected people. This opens another way to find out the family tree. Thanks for the link!

Dear Randy,

In case you are not aware of it, relative Hubert Levy-Lambert is involved in the formation of a new museum of the Sephardic people, in Paris; it is referred to as AMUSSEF. See link:
https://amussef.org/en/home-2/

They describe their mission as:

The aim of the Mussef is to present the history of the Jews who lived in the past in Mediterranean and Eastern countries, especially in Afghanistan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Spain, Ethiopia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Pakistan, Portugal, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Yemen.

Stay safe and well.
Cheers,
Joel

Thanks Randy for that amazing information! Now I found out that the 2 of us are related (16 steps or so) ;)
It makes a lot of fun to scroll through all these celebrities, but somehow I cannot take these relationships seriously...
Michael

Some weeks ago reached a quick 946.
Today on laptop and mobile phone achieved just 906 on each at a slow pace
Abraham Salomon De Camondo is second closest after Paul Ehrlich and makes good read. . But there are many not yet listed

Dear Randy,

If only a small fraction of the 940 listed-relatives (relatives at whatever degree, and presumably drawn from those who are alive) could attend, we could organize quite an intellectually lively family reunion.

I understand the Freud family in Vienna used to have parlor gatherings at which "cousins" attended. There is a tale of Helena Rubenstien meeting Proust.

Fun app.

Thanks for providing the info.

Cheers,
Joel

Thanks, Randy
I will be in touch with her and see what I can do.

Eric Michael Elias it should be working better now. Thanks everyone for testing it out.

wow - can't believe I am connected to all these famous people - what a wonderful app!

This is a fun app. I just wish I had found one actual blood relative.

I miss in my family tree 2 famous people who also deserve a place there; Jeno Heltai (Herzl) and Aladar Pollak (poetic pseudonym Radala)
https://prabook.com/web/jeno.heltai/1398417
http://joz.rs/grobljeweb/b/iii/iii-01-02.html
Both writers and cousins of Theodor Herzl

Today I repeatedly can only open 722 entries.
Whilst this is a large number it excludes names from my nearest 40 and another 220 missing fry reading list which is disappointing
