There's a problem with two sons of Capt. William Henderson (Capt. William Henderson, of Fordell)
and Margaret Bruce (Margaret Bruce),
Ens. John Henderson (Capt. John Henderson)
and John Henderson (Ens. John Henderson, of Augusta County).
These two seem to be the same person, because they are both sons of Capt. William Henderson and Margaret Bruce, and both are shown as having married Rose Finley. Their descendants are rather different, however, as shown in this comparison:
https://www.geni.com/list/descendants/6000000009719307049?compare_i...
which appeared when I started a tentative merge of the two profiles (https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000017877353008).
The "non-Ens" profile (Ens. John Henderson, of Augusta County) seems to have an impossible date of birth, because his mother would then have been just 6 years old! (Geni marks this as a discrepancy.) Also, there are no sources cited to prove that he even existed, while there are sources for Ens. John H.

Can anyone provide any sources to prove any facts about the "non-Ens" John?

Also, Ens. John H has two fathers, Capt. William Henderson and NN Henderson (NN Henderson), and gets a Y-DNA value from each line. Now that's not correct, is it?
Can anyone provide evidence that Ens. John H was the son of Capt. Wm H and married Margaret Bruce?
Or that he belongs in the branch back from David E Henderson, g-grandson of Thomas Alexander Henderson (Thomas Alexander Henderson)

Would anyone object if I break the link between Ens. John H and his father, NN Henderson?

No Objection.

Here is something that proves the relations of John and his wife Rose. The source also confirms relations between John and Capt. William / Margaret:

"John Henderson was an Ensign in the Augusta Militia in the
French and Indian War, and in 1758 received fourteen shillings
pay. His will was recorded in Augusta county, 1766, and mentions
a son, William, two daughters unnamed, and his wife, Rosa Finley,
who was a sister of John Finley, one of the first Justices of the
county."

This is sourced from the Henderson Chronicles found here:

Thanks, Benjamin, for that link. I have added it as a source to his profile, and cited it. I also added the paragraph about him to the Overview tab and broke the link from him to NN Henderson.

I have put together an online spreadsheet of the children of these two John Hendersons. None of them has any sources cited to support facts, so there could be quite a bit of fiction there.
Two of them were copied by SmartCopy from the same tree at Ancestry, brother and sister at Ancestry but assigned to different families in Geni.
Florence G in Ancestry was born 18 years before her mother was, but Ancestry doesn't do any automatic checking for rubbish like that.
Here's the link to the spreadsheet, where anyone with the link can comment:

Capt. William to Ens. John is pretty solid in that there are multiple references out there that say as much. I have looked into siblings of Ens. John some, and I have never found a Sister or Daughter of his named William yet. I’ll let you know if I do. Haha, this is what I was talking about!
