Debbie, when you first was editing the about me of that profile you should have deleted the bad link instead of spending time of complaining about it.

Thanks, Debbie Gambrell. Bernard is my 28th great grandfather, if we can believe that far back. I had a similar sort of situation some time back when a curator and I discovered a great sourced site for some colonial documentation of one other of my lines. Sadly, we just included the link and now the link goes to a software company! I have gotten to the point that I am including more info now on profiles if I find it. I had to notify the curator who had including the link in the banner and we deleted it where ever we found it here, but I am finding the "foul link" in so many other platforms still. I think we just have to be diligent.

Bjorn, I wasn't 'complaining' about the bad link...just making note that it isn't a good link. I don't delete links other people post any more than I'd delete any notes they post. If it were my link, I'd rather someone make me aware of it for me to remove rather than leaving me ignorant of the fact it wasn't working correctly.

Anyhow, I de-mastered that profile (i just inherited that curatorship because I never set the master profile quality marker on none-sourced profiles), - I looked up that link in the Internet Wayback Machine, and it clearly says that there is big doubts about it, mainly because she is born long time after her fathers death.

The translated text says: NB! Is this really a daughter of King Harald 2 Gråfell of Norway, in which case he got her after his death. Can't really find Bernhard as her husband either.

I have disconnected the profile and let it float away.

Anyhow: if you find links in a profile and get to a spam site you should delete the link immediately - there might be others that is not so wise like you and get tricked. Anything that is under revision control can be restored anyhow if someone disagree.
