Isom Pounds (Ishaw) - Can someone assist with this?

Origins for this man look controversial and also a research in progress. If I remember correctly, there’s a lot of angst involved in this Pound line; and reading the notes at Wikitree show the WIP nature even more.

Yeah. I am not sure what to think. Isom may be the mother of Reuben or the tagged Margaret Pound may be a more likely parent. I am interested in all their stories as some cross into Horry County lines and a cousin descends from Reuben.

John Pounds' line is well studied by Lee Pounds et. al, admin of the Pounds Project at FtDna. The testing line of Isom Pounds got removed as a descendant of John Pounds. The duplicate profile of Isom Pounds can be deleted based on this. A note was sent to the managers of the Isom Pounds' and Ishaw Pounds' profiles as being duplicates on the Geni data base. Since they are already on Geni, already detached from John Pounds and already curated and locked, the recommendation was made to delete the duplicate profiles.

I’m a little confused about Margaret Pound - was her name Hannah or Margaret? And was she the mother of Reuben Pounds ?

Lee Pounds may have the answers to those questions by now. He was awaiting a male descendant on the John Pounds line to compare to the Reuben Pounds and to the Samuel Pounds of which he said that there was, in the record, yet ANOTHER Samuel Pounds and all of that has been really hard to find descendants willing to test. It is kind of expensive to test ydna. He is willing to help people if they would like to contact him.
