What Sources validate this N.N., A Lowland Woman as a wife of Somerled, “King of the Isles”, and mother of Gall "the Foreigner" mac Somairle?

How do we know she was a lowland woman?

The author made that statement. There were several Peerages quoted..Are we to cite the source also ??

Yes - or anyone can say anything.

Which author, though? Perhaps we can track it down.

According to the footnote here, it’s in The Book of Clanranald in Reliquiae Celtica, Vol II, page 157

https://books.google.com/books?id=f10JAAAAIAAJ&pg=PA57&lpg=...

And if we track that down we get to. https://digital.nls.uk/early-gaelic-book-collections/archive/76513864

And the information isn’t there.

I will wrassle this some more in the morning, but so far I’m finding it in antiquarian volumes, and haven’t found the source.
