IAJGS 2020 -- Online Now!

Just a reminder, the IAJGS 2020 conference is completely online this year. The conference starts on Monday, August 10. You can register for free for a number of events, and paid registrants get to take advantage of various live lectures as well as a library of recorded talks. I'll be involved with a few sessions, including the following (times are Eastern Daylight Time):

Monday, August 10: 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM 4001 - JewishGen Austria-Czech Research Division Meeting
Tuesday August 11: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM 1375 - JewishGen.org 2020 Annual Meeting: Exciting Changes, Features, and Movement
Wednesday August 12: 2:45 PM - 3:45 PM 3007 - Geni.com BOF Meeting
Thursday August 13: 11:15 AM - 1:15 PM 1048 - Genealogy Death Match

I've been working very hard on my presentation for the last one, Genealogy Death Match, which will be a new event this year. Here's the description:

This entertaining event moderated by Jordan Auslander will pit two well-known genealogists (Geni Curators Jarrett Ross and Randy Schoenberg) against each other as they battle to the death (certificate) to prove who has the better-documented tree before our panel of three expert judges. Alternating round by round, the two contestants will have two minutes to provide evidence for each generation as they move up their trees for 15+ generations. The judges (and the audience) will score each round and determine the winner. Expect to have fun watching this exciting new program.

I registered to the meeting. Not sure your session "Genealogy Death Match" is free of charge as I did not see it during the registration process. I would love to attend.

Message on the right hand side says type the @ symbol and start typing the name of a profile (YOURS Randy in this case) on GENI and you will be "tagged" is that correct? I don't think I can send email reminders. I am way to busy with all the things I have to do, but maybe if you register for the conference and then add the event you can also add it to your calendar. I did that successfully for mine.

Iif you go to https://s4.goeshow.com/iajgs/annual/2020/index.cfm and then select the Attendee Service Center tab, and then select Live Presentation Selection and then Edit Presentation Selection, you can select the ones you want to sign up for and will be added to the list of attendees for that session.
