Elizabeth Wentworth cannot be the daughter of Baron Philip Wentworth and Mary Wentworth, considering the small age gap between them. Perhaps this relationship should be eliminated? Seems like yet another attempt at claiming descent from royalty.

Hello Isaac ... if correct according to Find a Grave, Elizabeth’s dates are 1441-1494, so perhaps that is the problem.

Hm. Those are better dates, for sure. Wonder why the profile here has such different ones. Regardless, I appreciate your assistance! Perhaps I'll include her on my tree now.

Jill Unwin would you mind linking the Findagrave page, I couldn't find it. I'm very interested in the Wentworths, because my paternal ancestors, according to widely published histories of Nottinghamshire, were first cousins or in-laws or some similarly close relationship to the Wentworths of Wentworth Woodhouse (I believe William, specifically -- if I recall correctly), and just the other evening I was trying to understand how they're connected (or not) on my Geni chart.

I gather there were two major branches of Wentworths, those of Wentworth Woodhouse and those of Wentworth Castle.

Ralph or Rauf [Denman]—who married Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Wentworth, of Wentworth Woodhouse, and died 1561; leaving a son, Nicholas [Denman], and apparently others, because his father, Nicholas [Denman], (who died 1561), devised by Will "to every one of my son Rauf's younger children, 33/4d."

So it was Thomas Wentworth (of Wentworth Woodhouse), not "William". I was trying to figure out if Ralph Denman was one of my grandfathers, or just an uncle.

There don't seem to be any known dates at all for Elizabeth Wentworth.

Although Marlyn Lewis cites Douglas Richardson for these entries, he fills in all the unknown dates with his own guesstimates.

Grave markers and church records which include burials are excellent primary sources.
