https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=78716542060, I do not see an issue with the merge, it looks like they represent the same individual. Perhaps one of the children are attached in error or have the wrong dates? The youngest I see was allegedly born when the mother was 52.

Can a curator merge Private with Private ? Thank you!

Tammy Lynn Driver - You are way less handicapped as a Basic User than you think you are.

1) To see Public Profiles outside your Max Family, use Google (or your favorite search engine) to search for them. Include site:geni.com in the search window, to just get geni results. If you do this, you can go to and see the profile without any Ad-for,-Pro.

2) To merge, see https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/229705547-How-do-I-merge-du... for lots of ways. I used to alway.do mege using Move, now I usually do it using Actions in Profile view. Both can be done by the Basic User as easily as by a Pro.

The first names are the same, because the first one died as a child and the same first name was given to the next one.

Jose Rafael Escareal, could you please request the merge via the system.

You can do this by going to the first profile in profile view and selecting "Actions" then "Merge" and then copying the url of the second profile and choosing the profile.

Being a profile <150 years curators are unable to complete the merge.

Jose Rafael Escareal, you can construct a merge request if you know the profile IDs, using merge/compare/xxx?to=yyyy but I dont know if this works for you on private profiles.

I am not sure if this is where to post this, but I found this profile Patrick Walker Skipper with an inactive profile manager while I am trying to clean up Patrick's tree. Can someone assign me as manager to allow me to make the merges and finish clean up? His death certificate on my profile shows Yancey Skipper and Mary J. Lewis as his parents and all other indicators do also. I can do the cleanup if assigned. Right now, there are no editing rights even though it is a public profile. Thanks, Susanne

FYI - Public Profiles that are not on the World Tree are not editable by those of us on the World Tree (at least, who are not Curators or a Manager of the profile or in the Max Family of a Manager)

Could some please separate Joseph Schober (1773-1844) ( Joseph Schober? ) from his "parents" (in fact they are not!) Augustin Schober and Anna Maria. This action will split the tree, what is correct, however I am not allowed to do, although all connected profiles are managed by me.

Susanne Floyd, I completed the merges for Patrick Walker Skipper. I'll leave the cleanup to you. We do not have a great way of assigning managers for profiles that we do not manage or collaborate with the managers. The only way that I know is to merge in a duplicate that we manage and then add you as manager, but creating and merging duplicates to gain management is frowned upon by some. The easiest solution in these cases (if the other manager is unresponsive) is to ask a curator to merge the tree into the World Tree, which then allows you to access the public profiles in it.
