After his bravery at Lake Champlain, Battles at Saratoga and being wounded at Quebec, he was passed over by promotion by those far less qualified. Adversaries brought charges of malfeasance of which he was acquitted and Congress said that he owed them money even though he had spent much of his own funds in the war. I would like to add this to his site on geni but it is said to "be closed". I NEVER close any of the sites I manage as there is always room for added notes. Genealogy never ends. This is REALLY frustrating! To see his story and his ancestry go to MY website: pixleyblair.tribalpages.com and type his name into the upper right Search box and click. He is a distant cousin related through Mary Wescott, a descendant of Stukely Wescott. I assure you that my website is NOT closed!

Thanks for the information he is also a relative of mine on the Waterman side of my family. Which they tie into the Slack and Waddill / Waddle / "( Waddell )" side . Joe
