Engela Helena van Niekerk is not the second wife of Aalwÿn Smit. He predeceases his only wife, Hester Bekker.ballfamilyrecords.co.uk/smit/I003.html.

She was linked to the wrong Alewyn
I believe it should have been Alewyn Smit, b4c13

Engela Helena van Niekerk was married to Alewyn Smit b4c13 Jacobusz and not to Alewyn Smit b7 (SAG b6, PARMA b4, both these numberings are incorrect). See Mooc document.

Will merge her with Engela Helena van Niekerk. It will add another son Johannes Petrus Smit who needs to researched for validity.
