PLEASE NOTE: There is NO record of the name of the first wife of Joseph Dawson. Not even her given name of Elizabeth. ANY surname found on Ancestry is pure fantasy.

This fellow is JOHN Dawson (son of Henry, husband of Elizabeth Thomas) John Dawson

He picked up JOSEPH Dawson’s dates, which cant be right.

I don’t know who John’s children are.

So is William Dawson son of John (of Henry) or of Joseph (of controversial parentage)?

There is a William named in Joseph’s Will:

From Joseph’s 1783 will:

Item, I give to my son William Dawson my Great Bible besides what I have heretofore given him to him and his heirs forever

This William is shown as the husband of Mary Wilson .

However he can’t be both the son of John & Joseph who seem unrelated.

William Dawson (son of Joseph Dawson and Patience Pike) died Abt. 1803.He married Martha Wilson, daughter of William Wilson and Charity.

Except his mother could have been Patience Pike, she was a much later 2nd wife.

Joseph Dawson’s 1st wife is totally unknown. Not a Morgan.

And you have the other Ancestry as noted currently on Geni; that one is your call, because all I know is what I see on this site.

I will get with my cousin again. She has records. But I looked at geni lines and I have no idea on Henry Dawson. He should maybe be an uncle. But things can be changed with this program.

Ok Joseph Dawson is married to Patience Pike - I must have misunderstood my cousin when we talked-

I have attached the Will to Joseph Dawson on Geni.
So my line stops at Joseph and Patience.

There is no definitive connection on Elizabeth Bryan -
That is an unknown marriage as of now..

So if kids can be added and link me back to William Dawson(child) and (spouse) Martha Wilson of Joseph and Patience

Moved William Dawson to son of Joseph Dawson & his unknown 1st wife. Joseph did not marry Patience until 1773 or so.
