Thanks for the very interesting information. I am a bit puzzled though. If Gerard died in 1047 it is more likely he died in France where he had become a monk (information from Wikipedia) especially as the Norman invasion wasn't until 1066.

Thanks, Lindsey, You're absolutely right, and I don't know where that English location came from. I changed his death location to Saint-Wandrille Abbey.
