After I sent the suggestion about going back. Then I notice since her husband was married twice, and the children birth dates varied between all of them. It seems that Elizabeth was the second wife, and of course her children will have later birthdates. Could it be that the children from his previous wife would be close to Elizabeth age? I would list all the children by birth dates, and then place the most logical children to his first wife. The remaining children with birth dates that most likely be Elizabeth because of child baring age. I hope this helps. Ken
Well, this is what I have done from the profile of William Vavasour b. 1380.
His 1st marriage was with Margaret Skipwtih and they issues are as follows. William Skipwith b. 1360, Alice Skipwith b. 1370, Margaret Skipwith b. 1386, and Elizabeth Skipwith b. 1410.
2nd marriage was with Elizabeth Langton b. 1420 ? and also have issues, and they are as follows.Henry b. 1421, John b. 1425, and Elizabeth b. 1440 (?). According to her profile, she was married twice.
Her 2nd marriage was to William Beeston b.1417. Their issues was William Beeston b. 1450, Robert Beeston b. 1452, Ralph Beeston b. 1454, Richard Beeston b. 1456, Alan Beeston b. 1458, Adam Beeston b. 1460, and Thomas Beeston b. 1450.
Now, Elizabeth Langton parents John Thomas Langton b. 1387 and Euphemia Maria de Aske b. 1385 with issues: Elizabeth Langton b. 1420, John Langton b. 1432, Euphemia Langton b. 1443. Mary, Isabel, and Agnes Langton shows b. 1397 and 1457 without any indicator of marriage or issues. It seems that Elizabeths b. could be 1405. So, my guess is that Isabel, Mary, and Agness birth dates would fall within timeline of 1405 thru 1430s for Elizabeth,s siblings.
The rest is for the profile managers to put it together. I'm done for now.!
In the will of William Beeston he refers to Elizabeth Langton and names her brother as Thomas Langton. It is doubtful her father is called "John Thomas Langton" - middle names weren't common in the 1400s. I think we're mixing two people up.
Her father is named as "of Huddlestone". I don't think this is the same person who married William Vavasour as he would have been 40 years older - same age as her father more or less.
I note that this discussion was started in 2019 by Erica Howton but doesnt seem to have progressed or at least resulted in any changes.
We still have Henry Vavasour (1421) as the son of Joan Vavasour (1420) which obviously cant be right.
If I am reading correctly it seems that Arthur Cremin proposed that Joan's details should be:
b. 1400 • Cockerington, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.
d. 1462 • Yorkshire, England
but it seems that this change has not been fully agreed to?
