Here is how the tree looks at this moment (23Sep2019): Avraham b1515 (Gaon Avraham haLevi), David b??? ben Avraham (David Halevi (Steinberger)), Shlomo b1536 ben David (Shlomo Zalman HaLevi, ?) IMPOSSIBLE FOR ONLY 21 YEARS BETWEEN BIRTH OF AVRAHAM AND GRANDSON SHLOMO, Yehuda b??? ben Shlomo (Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi, [Maharsha's father]), Shmuel 'MaHarSha' b1555 ben Yehuda (Shmuel Eliezer haLevi Eideles, MaHarSha) IMPOSSIBLE FOR ONLY 19 YEARS BETWEEN BIRTH OF SHLOMO AND GRANDSON SHMUEL 'MAHARSHA'. There are too many geneartions trying to squeeze in to these time period. It is also difficult to shift earlier generations to earlier birth years because of the same reason (see discussion at Yerucham describing another chronological impossibility earlier in this same branch: Rabbi Yerucham haLevi Steinberger, [of Ashkenaz wisest])

Those with access to sources can maybe straighten this out or at least make comments explaining their reasoning?
