We have a new tool called Path to User. See http://p2u.wnx.com/

The tool allows you to find your relationship to up to 200 project profiles at one time.

The steps are easy.

Go to http://p2u.wnx.com/

Authorize the app (click the blue button)

Select the Geni Projects tab (the second tab)

Enter the id number of the project (that is the number at the end of the url/internet address of the project)
For example, for http://www.geni.com/projects/Jewish-Families-from-Prague/7995 enter the number 7995.

Enter your email.

Click submit.

That's it. In several minutes you will get an email with the results. Check your spam folder. Note that Verizon seems to be blocking the e-mails so use a non-Verizon email address.

Please give it a try.

Thanks Randy,

It seems it will be very useful for town projects.

Looking forward to using it in the future

Wow Randy - What a great tool. I received 202 Roudnice nad Labem relationships. Thank you Dorann

The tool is running very slowly today. We're not sure why. Please be patient as we try to fix it.

Not getting any mails :( to denis7@gmail.com

Sorry, we are still working out some bugs that are slowing it down.

Very interesting tool, I like this! FYI, a bug: it lists me as the source on every profile. Even the ones I didn't enter.

It is showing a path from you to the target, so you are the source for each result.

The tool seems to be working well tonight. Please keep testing it.

how can I use this method with a family name I do not have a number for kanner

Hi @Randy Schoenberg.
Excellent tool! Congratulations!
Is there any way to configure the "Path to User" tool to find relationships with more than 200 profiles?
There are projects that interest me a lot in which there are more than 3000 profiles.

We had to limit to 200 profiles in the project so the system would not get overwhelmed.

It only works for projects or individual profiles, not surnames at the moment.

Hi, It was working fine earlier this week but now after I click "Authorize" it gives a "This page does not exist" message.

Randy, that's great. What a terrific idea!
