The marriage record and the included birth record for Biagio Badolato list his mother as unknown.
It looks like his death record may say his mother is Rosalia Lombardo: "New York, New York City Municipal Deaths, 1795-1949," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2W1V-5FJ : 10 February 2018), Biagio Badolato, 11 Jul 1929; citing Death, Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States, New York Municipal Archives, New York; FHL microfilm 2,057,644.
I see on an Ancestry.com tree (https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/87251445/person/43...) I think I see you have his mother listed as Angela Vincenza Martorana, perhaps because of a marriage between a Biagio Badolato and Angela Vincenza Martorana in 1849?
This is interesting... Maybe his death record is wrong or somebody read it wrong for that on FamilySearch... However, I would have thought if his parents were married in 1849 there would be no reason to list the mother as unknown on his birth record in 1870... If that is the correct Giuseppe could it be that Angela Vincenza Martorana died and Biagio's mother was actually someone else? It could be interesting to know if there is a death for Angela Vincenza Martorana sometime between 1849 and 1870...
It sounds like an interesting puzzle...
