Margaret MacLeod - MacLeod families

I thought we had fixed this and separated Malcolm’s? Did I dream I had done this ? :)

I have updated the family tree and the about sections for Malcolm and Margaret to reflect the data in the Marriage record.

Also for William Macleod, the date of death on his death certificate is 1869. A small piece of the top of the 9 at the top left of the page is missing so it looks a bit like a 1864 is you squint, but it is clearly 1869, inline with other mentions of the date in the document: https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000056565010821&

I shall go ahead and remove the portion questioning the death date in his about section.

I have also been looking for the death certificate of William's wife, Catherine/Christian MacLeod.

I have found a candidate which seems very plausible. It is the death certificate of Christian MacLeod in 1872. She lived in Vatisker, is the widow of a William MacLeod and has a son named Angus MacLeod and the date of her death, 1872, also seems likely. Based on her age of 66, her estimated date of birth works out to be 1806 or 1807, which is close enough to the circa 1809 shown here on Geni.

The parents listed for this Christian MacLeod are John MacLeod, crofter, and Flora, maiden name also MacLeod.

I'll keep searching to see if we can rule out any other options, but I think that this is quite a strong candidate. Here is the death certificate in question: https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000098691840826&...

I’m wondering where the Catherine Name comes from. I only see her as Christian.

I've only seen it in the NEHGS piece. I haven't found it in the listed sources, but that article has three authors and made it past the editors, so it has to be from somewhere! Maybe we need to ask them.
