yDNA tests by a male Parker descendant of a Joseph Parker 1759-1834 shows that Joseph Parker belongs to Parker yDNA Family Group #18, the same as John Parker 1700-1760. At present there is no documented link between Joseph Parker 1759-1834 and John Parker 1700-1760 in early Hampshire County, VA. (now Mineral County, W.V.) except that oral history of early 1900 descendants of John Parker 1700-1760 said he was from Pennsylvania. Joseph Parker in his 1732 Revolutionary War Pension Application stated he was born the 26 Nov 1759 in Buck County, PA. John Parker 1700-1760 was already settled on Patterson Creek, Hampshire Co. VA per his 1749 land grant, so at best John Parker 1700-1760 was an uncle to Joseph Parker 1759-1834, but he could have been more than one generation removed.
