To the best of my understanding:
In case a branch was added with a ton of profiles but all are duplicates, they can isolate and delete it all instead of investing so much time in merging everything.
Once we start merging we are making it too hard to isolate and delete.
So it's best to merge only if the merge brings new profiles with it. Otherwise, it's a bit of a wasted time.

Richard (Rick) Gary Simon he was a user of Geni so he has to be reported as deceased, go to Actions> Report.choose deceased and send, Geni Customer Service will unclaim it and notify you, then the profile can e edited.
Maria Magdalena Hendrina Johanna Christina van Rheede van Oudtshoorn Maria Magdalena Hendrina Johanna Christina Pieterse died on 4 June 1946 at the age of 75. both her profile and her mothers profiles are marked private. The manager of these profiles have not been online since 2017. I would like to add the death notices to this family.

in full family view, are a whole pile of new "zombies", i can not merge them for this reason, could some one please make them less zombie like, to bring the tree to order again please .
