Did you use the information you included in the Overview/About section to add the name of Ephraim's father on here? I have not been able to find anything about his father being named Thomas. It says in the information in the Overview section that Thomas was Ephraim's oldest son, which I see is not listed as a child on here. I have seen elsewhere that his father was named Abraham, but am still looking into this more. Hopefully you can let me know where you found the information that Thomas was the name of Ephraim's father. Thanks so much!!

In doing more research, the Ephraim McDowell that married Margaret Irvine is NOT the same Ephraim whose parents were Thomas McDowell and Ann Locke. This page also has children that are mixed together with the other Ephraim's and his wife Margaret Irvine's children.

Hey Cynthia! All of my information is on my tree on Ancestry. So I haven’t bothered putting much on here as well, just check for some possible information. That’s awesome that you’re a DNA match to McDowell! Where do you live? I’m in Charlotte, NC and close to some of the McDowell’s. My family knows them from having grown up in Charlotte. Didn’t even know til I came across the McDowell’s on my tree that they were my relatives haha! Good to connect with you.

Hi dear! It’s awesome that you know them! I do not live anywhere near my folks’s old stomping grounds and grew up away from family for the most part.

AncestryDNA only goes to the 7th generation... same for Geni DNA relationships but Geni is a one world tree and when used properly, it will show our relationship. In the meantime, the DNA here says we are related and your Geni shows no path *sigh
