This line is making no sense.

I have detached it from Roger de Hauteville, as he had no children. So there’s that.

But the story found in the Overview is making no sense and is full of holes.

Is there any evidence, real evidence, that Aaron fitzRoger was born in Italy? Is there any real evidence as to his parentage?

Thank you for bringing this up!! This also drives me crazy. I'm very confused as to why our lineage goes up from him as it seems that we have become "heirs" of the step-father and birth mother. If that is the case, our lineage changes and we are not truly ancestors of William the Conqueror correct? I'm not sure where this information originated, but it seems to be the only information we have and others including myself are copying this information into our trees. I also many guesstimates regarding birth and death dates. Could it be that there are some generations missing? Looking forward to clearing this up!
