Hi I have discovered that I am related to an Elizabeth Neville (1444 - 1500), who on Ancestry says was the daughter of Edward Neville, Baron Bergavenny and Joan Beaufort. However on Wikipedia and this website there is no mention of Elizabeth. I was wondering if anybody else is in the same position as me and could please provide any information regarding this, many thanks.

She is Sir Edward’s half sister.

Ralph de Neville died in 1425, & the Elizabeth you are referncing was born ca. 1389, so wrong Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Neville, Dame Abergavenny, 1441-1500, m. as her 3rd husband, George Neville - which is where her title comes from. Her parents are unknown. Please refer to the About section: https://www.geni.com/people/Elizabeth-de-Neville-Dame-de-Abergevenn...

Better link

Elizabeth Neville, Dame Abergavenny

Private I merged your just entered Naylor tree in. Try not to create new profiles before 1700, they usually already exist in Geni.

Having read your message several times still leaves me wondering what you are referring to. I am building the ancestors of an individual in my family tree. Are you suggesting that I disregard all born before1700?

I’m saying they were already on Geni, so it was unnecessary to create them again. Geni’s different: it’s all one tree where everyone contributes to expand and enrich the tree.

So when you know you have an ancestor like Robert Naylor, the best practice is to “hook on” lower down the tree closer to you.

Thank you for your reply. ?How can I determine if an ancestor is already listed on Geni? What is "Hook on"? Thanks for your help

Click on the Research tab at the top and then click on Popular Profiles. Once that window opens you can enter the name of the relative you are looking for. Keep in mind the possible spelling variations for your ancestors.
