Hatte Rubenstein Blejer - Thanks for fixing this mess. I've added a few links to Margaret, the sister of Ephraim.

Thomas McGehee
He has too many parents, and the ones with the last name of McGehee appear to be correct. It won't let me merge them because it says that would split the tree. It appears that the correct birthplace for Thomas McGehee is York, Virginia. This can't be corrected until the parent conflict is resolved.

One of his fathers is William McGehee and the other is Patrick MacGregor. Some sources say that Patrick MacGregor is the father of William McGehee, and this looks reasonable based on the dates and the fact that they're both described as "of Ardchoille". William McGehee has an alternate last name of Mackgahaye, which looks like it could be a corruption of MacGregor.

Private User Done, please check.

Emily Kent Marget I spent hours in the Gaylord tree today. There’s still a conflict in the Walter Gaylord tree I now give up on hunting down.

Erica Howton - Thanks so much for the time spent in that line. (I hope the duplicator got a message about what he did. The creator of the merge - well...he tried to fix.)

Only thing left is to fix his birth date. Looks like a typo based on his baptism date 1690 vs 1585.

Thanks for that. The Baptism of 05/21/1585 at Pitminster for Dea. William Gaylord, of Windsor is Disputed / disproved as being this William.

Erica Howton Re: Arnold Custer

Benjamin Castor born after the death of his mother Susannah Custer (Adams). He probably belongs to the 2nd wife.

Erica Howton, this is actually one you manage. Please check her children. I think she has too many.

Agnes "Nancy" McGovney

Private User Done. A couple of merges were needed.

Sir John Baptist Cecil has a son William who is not in his tree. The profile that I believe to be JB's son William is currently identified as the son of a half-brother of JB who may not actually exist. There is an existing discussion at https://www.geni.com/discussions/195949?msg=1294938 that provides the details but did not result in any action.

Thank you.

I have another timeline mess in which a woman appears to have been listed as her own grandmother, among other issues. I started a discussion a month ago at https://www.geni.com/discussions/195908?msg=1294142 with the details. There was no response. They might be slightly too late to qualify as Colonial, so please let me know if I should take this somewhere else.

Thank you.

Cicely Chapin seems to be a duplicate of Cicely Chapin (MP)

Hannah Hitchcock and Hannah Hitchcock (MP)

Chapin Hitchcock and Chapin Hitchcock (old)

Sarah Saxton - I cannot find her duplicate.

There may be more going down the tree added in February 2019.

Private User The Hatfields & McCoys qualify - And you’re talking the Devil’s tree. I’ll probably call in reinforcements for your other thread. Thank you for calling attention.

Thomas Reddington is connected to the incorrect Hepzibah Perley.

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/174711238/hephzibah-dorman and https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/143350918/hepzibah-redington are different people.

Hephzibah Redington is the correct wife for Thomas.

Thank you Erica Howton. Some reinforcements on John Baptist Cecil would also be useful (if that wasn't the one you meant in your last thread). The person that I'm talking to right now doesn't seem very interested in finding out the truth. https://www.geni.com/discussions/195949?msg=1300822

If there’s no evidence to support parents, and in fact good reason to think they’re in error on Geni, the process I use is to add to the top of the “about” this comment:

Evidence needed to support as child of [link to Geni profile].

And ask for a curator to relationship lock to no parents.

It’s also good to do a public discussion from profile “evidence for parents?”

And also a contact manager mail to managers: “evidence for parents?”

... although starting a Discussion *also* notifies the co-managers, so there isn't always a need for a separate 'contact' message to them.

I just added Nicholas Bellinger (Nicholas Bellinger) He matches a master profile and should be merged.

William Hatcher, of Varina Parish Was made MP and relationship locked to “no parents.” I think the profile tags in this discussion notify managers and interested followers of the decision. If they have evidence to present “for” a connection, it should be presented via a separate discussion from profile for examination.

William “Fox” Titus Johns

This profile changes parents often without documentation. The profile states the is no documented proof of his parents, but people keep adding different parents and lineages in without the proof. It seems to cause a lot of work for our Curators on this particular Profile. Perhaps this one should be locked until we can come up with conclusive proof of his parents.

Think I will work updating his profile, but suggest to Lock his parents to keep others from continuing to add different parents in the future.

Capt Henry Edward Heater Merging done. FYI everyone is welcome to merge - the MP designation is a “merge guide.” Curators assist when cannot for whatever reason.

Erica Howton thanks for fixing Thomas Redington. Now I can continue with linking two sections of the 'tree'.

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/94149225/mary-hale has Mary Hale as the daughter of Richard Kimball and Mary (Dorman) Kimball. Neither parent is in Geni.

Please disconnect her from her parents. Her other connections are correct.
