Apphia married John Knowles Dec 28 1670. John died in King Phillips war June 3 1675.
They had children together: Edward, John ( Colonel John Knowles), Deborah and Rebecca.
Apphia married Stephen Atwood in 1676 when the Knowles children were all under 5.
My ancestor, John Knowles, reports being orphaned and raised by his Uncle Joshua Bangs.
