Henry Peter still has Dyckwoode on about

I am getting confused. Fix what you can. There are too many siblings of Rev Hugh including someone who came to America

I am right now citing the Henry Peter MP of Fowey m Deborah Treffry Family, including wives and fathers of the bride :)

That other lot has been so messed with and is for later, I clicked a yellow triangle, did what was a simple merge and 3 more arrived, merging fathers and sons so I cancelled and looked for them and cannot find them in the immediate tree there.

Collaboration !!! lol

That one you mention needs the two I put there deleted, the links are there, Delete.
Rev Hugh and Thomas dont belong on that family is why so many siblings.

I actually wonder how you guys dont tear your hair out, I think I'd like more controll and less just fixing the same things over again.

I can't delete profiles. I merge or disconnect instead. I merged one of them and uncovered that John Petre, 1st Baron, had name changed to William. I'm still shaking from trying to fix it.

:( Its been a long day, I have been sitting here 10 hours lol guess you have too.

Erica Howton

Got up to here Otho - Otis Petre but in the document I look at he is NOT father to John Petre, MP probably brother who did not marry.

Father is Sir William Peter who married Joan daughter of Sir Roger Arundle of Calwoodly co. Devon.

So I need a merge now probably with the tree you were working Erica

Merge what with what ?

http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1509-1558/member/pe...

PETRE, John II (by 1517-81), of Exeter and Bowhay, Devon.

john Petre’s parentage is variously stated in the visitations, but that of 1620, which makes him the son of Otes Petre, receives some support from the recurrence of this unusual christian name among the Petres of Compton, Devon, to whom he was closely related and to whose properties in various places his own were adjacent. With their and his namesakes of Torbryan he was also connected, perhaps more remotely, before he married one of them and so became the brother-in-law of John Petre I, Robert Petre† and (Sir) William Petre. Of Petre’s career before becoming a freemen of Exeter ....

——-

In other words, Visitations are not necessarily reliable for his parents.

This is meant to be the father here so needs to merge with Otes William Petre

BUT then we need another William with wife Joan as his father NOT John.
Then John and Alice

OK so I still have quite a ways t go with that document, but maybe now time to stop and research :)

Thanks for that info, I think thats what I had except the birth in devon.

Possibly this is an odd one too William Pentier just putting link here to investigate further.

I’m too confused. It’s not what I see in the HOP article. Maybe use “create a branch” to plot out profiles for what you see as the tree and merge after.

William Peters, (Fictional person) has terrible notes and says he’s a son of Elizabeth, not Martha.

I’m trying to focus on finding the supposed Winthrop wife for Thomas.

OK :)
