As President, I am honored to proclaim May as Jewish American Heritage Month. During this month, we acknowledge the indelible mark made by Jewish people on American culture and recognize the importance of religious freedom and liberty in our society.

Through their rich culture and tradition, the Jewish people have triumphed over adversity and enhanced our country. For this and many other reasons, the American Jewish community is deserving of our respect, recognition, and gratitude.

I look forward to observing this month with my family and the American people, and I encourage you to celebrate the heritage and contributions of Jewish Americans in your community.

Yes, this is federally-mandated and happens every year. It might make more sense for us to discuss it in one of the Jewish-American projects? I don't think people would think to look here...

Michael, thank you for your kind message. I wrote to President Trump this evening, something i do on a fairly regular basis. I try to undo some of the unkindly issues he and his family are bombarded with on a daily basis. I am encouraging and let him know I pray for him and his family to stay safe. I have received other replies to my e-mails and I am so proud that he would personally respond. I didn't know what else to do with the response, so I put it into a "discussion."
