I am a T2.

I'm T2(b7a2)

So we have same mtDNA?

You would think they would be interested in this.

You would think they would be interested in this.

See https://www.eupedia.com/europe/Haplogroup_T_mtDNA.shtml for more information on T2 - it is estimated to be approx. 15.000 years old, and is spread over most of Europe.

Hans' (b7a2) suffix indicates that he has a more precise test done, but you're not guaranteed to share a female ancestor with him any closer than 15.000 years.

Did you take the MTFullSequence test? If so, you may have information about other mutations defining a new branch under T2; if not, you may gain more information from taking one.

I did mine with Oxford University DNA
I am a T.as well as ftdna. Oxford says T and will not share. FTDNA SAYS T2. I can get into Oxford University's database if that would help? I can post my report from Oxford.

I sn doing full full now. Waiting will update ASAP.
