The WikiTree entry for this lady (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Jacobs-2438) has the following note: "That she existed at all, was daughter of Martje Jacobs and Elizabeth Maud Jenkins, and was the supposed parent of William Pierce, Robert, John and/or Michael Pierce apparently derives from a 1904 genealogy[1] that offers no substantiation whatsoever, so she has been detached as parent of anyone." This is important because Martje Jacobs was a descendant of the kings of Portugal - and as much as I would like to be descended from the Kings of Portugal, I think that line is spurious :-)

Thank you, John, she's been disconnected from the bogus.

I urge anyone with an American PIERCE / PERS / PEIRCE in their tree (there were 7 arrivers to New England) to read this article
