@William Churchill of Dorset and William Churchill of Corton: one file has the former as having been born betw. 1490 - 1495 at Rockbeare and died before 7-11-1583 at Piddlehinton.
Another file of a generation later relates that he was born in 1490 at Bicester and died on 7-11-1583 at Bicester.
I wonder if we're dealing with a father and a son in this case given the 88 year time frame and if this question could resolve and establish a link between the long line of Churchills in America and the First Duke of Marlborough. One wishes he were practiced in the trade and well set to spend a lot of time digging in England.
A Geni record for Josiah Churchill (Churchill 98 in America) has it that he was born at Muston on New Year's Day 1613. The Foote Family History web page has him as having been born at Muston and several Churchill ancestors of the duke either were born or died at Muston.
Correction: I should have said 'a generation earlier' rather than 'later.' One indifidual of that generation had either a son or brother named Josiah living at Munston. Outside chance of a grandson also named Josiah immigrating from Munston to New England in 1635. Searching for that individual to review again.
