Thanks,
Patricia I appreciate it.

Billie

Billie

Billie June Keaffaber - I think you are right.

Anne,
Thanks dear my eyes getting bad here and when stuff shoved togeather like that hard to make out.

Billie

I have run across "Chronic Nephritis" also, I think. Will check my notes, but I think I have one for that.

Billie June Keaffaber & Susanne Floyd,
The Nephritis project has been changed from "Died from Nephritis".to "Nephritis" so it will cover both the acute as well as the chronic form.

Patricia,
Thanks for letting us know. I think I have majority in right place but I will keep eyes out for others.

Billie

I have question is Bronchopneumonia and different then pneumonia in general. Bronchopneumonia is a type of pneumonia As I seeing I added him to the died of pneumonia project. Didn’t know if the Bronchopneumonia term should be added to the project with any exsplaining the difference.

I have.modified / updated the Pneumonia project (https://www.geni.com/project-27826/edit). It now covers a little more info and resources.

Billie June Keaffaber. Bronchopneumonia just means that it in the bronchial tubes in the lungs.
Pat

Patricia,
I think it was terminology they used that threw me there. I use to 2 words Brachial pneumonia not Bronchopneumonia Must be same thing just different ways to say it lol.

Erica Howton,
Or would it be better under Cirrhosis which is under Liver failure???

What is the appropriate project for someone who has had their throat slit? I can't believe I am asking this....Just found one of my 3 x great uncles killed his wife and he was supposedly insane. Worse, had been "exhibiting strong symptoms of derangement for some time." Oh mercy, but the story should be told. That was back in 1854.

There’s a family killing family project. I don’t know if we have homicide by knife?

Erica Howton,
I have looked but haven't found any source that would seem to fit "killed with / by a knife" that would fit the slicing of a throat. Every sources were about murders that occurred the last few years.

Do we need a project for "killed with/by a knife"??? Any suggestions in what topic to look under for this??? The above projects you mentioned would seem to work for Susanne's need.

I am a member of the Family Killing Family and put the murderer in that one. The Homicide project want to add to specific types, I thought.

A slit throat or other body part - like jugular isn't exactly stabbing, is it? Again, I can't believe I am talking about this and it involved a relative. Mercy!

Killed with a knife sounds good.

Is there a Jaundice cause of death, truthfully I thought Jaundice was just yellowing of skin my oldest had it had to stay in hospital after birth few days under lamps. I never heard of it as cause death until now!!!! There is a second contribution cause death but can’t make it out. If anyone can tell me where to put this guy.

Jacob Floyd Chapman

Billie

Jaundice is a symptom of liver disease such as cirrhosis of the liver which may be associated with alcoholism. You could put it in the "Liver failure" project which is found under "Organ failure" or if you have more info there is a "Cirrhosis" project in the same area on the Cause of Death list project.

Billie June Keaffaber, looks like the contributory is obstruction of the bile ducts (biliary obstruction). Probably the cause of the jaundice and the true cause of death. The ICD code on the DC has 115 which mean "Other diseases of the liver". Probably should use the Liver failure CoD project.

Guys I have no other information this it. I will put him in liver Failure and add what can.

Thanks

Hi,
I know this bit off topic, I made a new project that mentions hospital and didn’t think it help me but found relative's here not sure if you have Asylum Deaths but this may help some people find thier relatives I found few we couldn’t find much on here there is also a Cemetery with it most are unmarked graves. You never know unless listed on death records. Just think these people need recognition was all.

Billie

Erica Howton,
What do you think??? Maybe have it as a "Related Project"? It isn't really a cause of death.
